Having snapped up the former French international recently, Shenhua are looking to strengthen their squad in order to get hold of much awaited domestic silverware.
The striker has refused to sign an extension with his current club which suggests that the 32-year-old is eyeing a transfer elsewhere.
Griffiths has denied having made any official bid from Shenhua as yet but reckons that his partnership with Anelka could prove to be lethal. He also warned other teams of the Frenchman’s talent and has advised them to start preparing

While commenting on his refusal to sign a new contract with his current club, the Socceroos striker admitted that he is looking to test his skills at a new club and is expecting an offer from the two-time First Division A champions.

However, the Shanghai officials have confirmed their interest in the Aussie striker and are believed to be preparing an official bid really soon. The former Leeds United player is excited about the possible hook-up with the Blue
Devil. He believes that his big-money transfer will be a bonus for his family as he will be able to live a lavish life even after his retirement.
