The 30-year-old has slammed the English football governing body following the news that Marseille’s first game of the season will not count towards his 12-match domestic ban
The Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 midfielder, currently on loan at Marseille, has criticised FA’s decision that his first game for the French club will not count, extending the duration of his ban to 13 games.
Barton, who has one international cap to his name, used twitter to express his frustration. Criticising the FA, the controversial midfielder stated that he can’t understand that decision and to learn that the 12-match ban in now a 13-match ban, is more than
frustrating.
The former Manchester City player added that he can’t understand FA, and their decisions show that they have some kind of vendetta against him.
“So my 12 match ban is now a 13 match ban. You got to love the English FA? Well, no actually you don't.”
Joey Barton said that it’s not his fault that the Premier League started a week after Ligue 1, and FA’s decision of not counting Olympique de Marseille’s first game of the season towards his ban is just stupid.
“Ban has been extended as when I signed for Marseille on Friday 31st, so the game L'OM v Rennes couldn't count as one of my games suspended.”
The 30-year-old claimed that the FA have some kind of hidden agenda against him and he can’t understand what he can do to make things right.
“It’s so ludicrous a decision, it’s like they have some hidden agenda or vendetta against me? Oh, yeah I forgot, they actually do.”
However, the former Newcastle United midfielder is trying to stay away from controversies this time around and is looking forward to make his Ligue 1 debut, a little late than he originally planned.
“Life's too good to ponder such things for too long. I know who you are, you know who you are. Would I swap with you? No.”
After leaving the country and moving to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899, Barton was hoping that he would stay away from all the drama. But this decision has once again got him involved in the war of words and it could affect his future in many ways.
