Joey Barton confirms his desire to stay at Newcastle United next season – EPL News
Influential Newcastle United midfielder, Joey Barton, has reiterated his desire to stay at St. James Park for the next season despite being linked with the Barclays Premier League champions, Manchester United.

After failing to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wesley-Sneijder-c36799 from Inter Milan, United’s interest in Barton has grown higher.
The former Manchester City midfielder has expressed his contentment over being linked with a club like Manchester United but has asserted that he will not leave Newcastle United this summer.
“Nice to be linked with some big clubs but I honestly don't want to leave Newcastle. Thanks but no thanks,” the 28-year-old stated.
Barton has a year remaining on his current contract with Newcastle United and the Magpies are yet to offer him a new deal. The former Manchester City midfielder confirmed that he will see through his contract at St. James Park and will seek a Bosman transfer
in the next transfer window.
“I will most likely leave Newcastle at end of season, when my contract expires and I am no longer employed,” Barton confirmed. 
Moreover, Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew has also confirmed that Barton will be at Tyneside club next season.
"I think Joey will be here [next season]. He's said all along he wants to stay and I want him to stay so there's no conflict," added Pardew.
The Magpies manager is confident that Barton’s contract situation at Newcastle United will be resolved in the near future.
“His contract may get resolved but probably not until it runs out.”
Furthermore, Pardew also revealed that despite threatening to leave Newcastle United on a Bosman move, Barton will be one of the starters at the club next season if he continues his impressive form. Joey Barton scored five goals in 35 matches for Newcastle
United last season.
