According to Barton, prospect of staying with Marseille attracts him as it’s a great club with rich history. The player added that he has a great relationship with everyone at the club and he feels at home here.
The former Manchester City player said it feels great to be a part of this amazing team and he would love to stay here for the rest of his career.
"If I had my choice, I would stay here for the rest of my career because I love this place, I have a great relationship with the people, the staff, the manager, the players, the fans, and I feel like I'm at home.”
The 30-year-old said that he can’t wait to put the Marseille shirt on and is poised to silence his critics. The Englishman added that he wants to repay the faith shown in him by the bosses at the club and he can’t wait to make his Ligue 1 debut.
"I haven't played many games. I can't wait to put the Marseille shirt on, to show people that I like to play football."
