The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 was a no go
While talking to media, Willy MacKay, agent of the eternal bad boy of English football, Joey Barton, admitted that there is a chance that his client flies to Marseille in exchange for Stephane Mbia. MacKay is an influential figure in the whole transfer saga
so the Marseille faithful might be able to see Barton grace the fields of Velodrome this season.
“I think we could reach an agreement on Wednesday that Joey flies to Marseille and Stephane Mbia arrives at QPR.”
And, according to various news agencies in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 have finally decided to speed up work in order to bring Mbia to Loftus Road. The London club is very keen on signing the player this summer and the Cameroon international
is also keen on making a switch to English Premier League.
And, pretty much the same things have been confirmed by the Hoops’ manager, Mark Hughes who confirmed last night that the deal with Marseille was not off. Despite the bad reputation that he has garnered in the last few years, Les Phoceens management is very
keen on acquiring the player’s services.
After finalising the transfer of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mendes-c25206 this morning, the Rhone giants are now close to finalising one of the biggest moves in Ligue 1 this summer.
However, Marseille will have to pay a price for securing a move for Barton. Reports claim that QPR want to include http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cameroon-c2865 international Stephane Mbia in the deal. The 26-year-old’s departure represents a major loss for Les Phoceens in sporting terms.
However, the move will allow the club to free some much needed funds although it still remains to be seen if the arrival of Barton presents more advantages than disadvantages. Barton’s hot-headedness has cost him dear throughout his career.
Furthermore, even if he lands at the Canebiere, the former Manchester City man will have to miss 10 Ligue 1 games as his English FA induced ban will be carried to which ever league he ends up in.
