Question:

Jogging/Training Shoe help?

I have been battling a particularly prolonged case of Tibialis posterior tendinitis and would like to try a new pair of training shoes to see if that can alleviate some of my pain. As I said, I'm battling Tibialis posterior tendinitis, lead an active athletic life and also am flat footed. Any idea on what shoes I could check out?

  1. I tried Nike Triax 10, and now have got Nike Triax 11, they really helped my running and the pain I used to get has gone. Try  going to a proper running shop and getting them to look how you walk and run and get their advice (not a general sports shop but a specialised one so that they can give you proper advice) and be prepared to pay a fair bit for decent shoes!

    Good luck!

  2. nike shox

  3. ok i dont know what tibalis... is

but i too am flat footed and live a very athletic life

my podiatris told me to get asics, especially the 2120s

he said asics are the best

  4. Asics are the best shoe i've found so far.

you should go tho a shoe store that specialies in running shoes. they should be able to get you fitted for exactly what you need

  5. Without knowing all your specs it's hard to figure out the best shoe, but with what you did mention these are the best shoes for you:

If you're under 180 pounds and have good mechanic or you are an under-pronator -

    Asics - Gel Foundation 8

    Asics - Gel Foundation 7

    Brooks - Addiction 8

    Nike - Air Cesium 2

    Etonic - Stable Pro 3

    Saucony - Grid Stable 6

If you're over 180 pounds and have good mechanics or an under pronator -

    Brooks - Beast 9

    Asics - Gel Evolution 4

    Brooks - Beast '04

    New Balance - 1011

    New Balance - 1123

    Etonic - Minado MC

    If you're over 180 and an over-pronator -

    Asics - Gel Keyano 17

    New Balance - 1223

Saucony - Pro Grid Hurricane 10

    Nike - Air Equalon+ 2

    New Balance - 992

    Asics - Gel Keyano XI

The best thing you can do is go to a real running shoe store and get fitted properly. Tell them about your injuries and they will test your mechanics and suggest a few shoes for you to try. Try them all on and run around a little to see which ones work best for you.
