Question:

Jogging - where do you put keys, phone, ipod? Ipod classic armband suggestion?

I've started jogging to get more toned up and in shape, and keeping my ipod on a belt clip just hasn't been cutting it. Also, I need to bring my phone with me and a house key, but don't know where exactly to put them! They fly out of my pockets.

Where do you all put all of your stuff? Do you have an armband suggestion for me? I have an 80gb Ipod classic (I don't have enough money to buy a Nano just for running, so I'm stuck running with the classic).

Thanks!!!

  1. I rarely run with my ipod because I like to focus on the running and clearing my head.... but I suppose you could just keep the ipod in your hand or investing in one of those arm bands would work out.  As for the key... try tying it to one of your shoe laces OR you can buy running 'pouches' that can attach to your shoes (you can find these at running stores).... and I would rather not run with my phone because, once again, it's another distraction.  If you feel like you need it for safety, then I would try to just run with it in hand or buy shorts that have small pockets on the inside..... good luck!

  2. The nano is the best to run with, I am not sure where you would put a classic. For the house key, I always lace my car key in my shoe and tuck it in just above the laces. As for the phone, I always felt that when I run, I run to clear my head, the more "stuff" you bring the more distractions you have chasing you. Surly you have voicemail and text messaging, whatever it is can wait thirty minutes. The least amount of stuff you have the better in my opinion.

  3. Buy shorts with pockets? I have basketball shorts with a small inside pocket, i guess that would work. Put keys with ur ipod, but about your phone...why would you bring that on your run?

  4. For running, I would just leave your phone in your car, lace your keys to your shoe laces and run with your iPod in hand.  Thats what I do.  If it bugs you to run w/ your iPod in your hand, then don't run with it.  Its better to pay attention to your body while you're running, not your music.

  5. try a small bum bag it might get annoying though but i dont no as i have never used one but i just take the key of the key ring and keep the one key slippped on my finger and have a nano and just carry a small bottle of water and leave my phone at home

  6. when i run, i carry my cell phone and car key.

(my cell phone has music on it so i plug in headphones

    and voila!!!)

i dont NEED my cell phone but i feel safer with it.

so keep it if you feel better, no need to leave it at home.

and so i have my cell in one hand and car key in another.

i would just suggest keeping them in each hand.

its not that bad for me, so idk what else id suggest :)
