http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 Royals’ (RR’s) all-rounder, Johan Botha, is hopeful of a good show against the strong Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team in the 52nd match of the cash rich Indian Premier League (IPL). The match will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium,
Jaipur in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 on Monday, May 9, 2011.
The star South African player stated, “It is going to be an interesting game and we know that Chennai is a good team. So whatever the wicket plays like, we need to play in it and try to get the two points.”
Rajasthan skipper, Shane Warne, announced this year’s IPL to be his last, as he wanted to give more time to his family and friends. His team members were eying to give the veteran a strong farewell by winning the last few matches.
Botha stated, “All the guys want to give Warne a good last few games and a good send-off. It is not just for Rajasthan Royals fans but to all cricket fans. He has played for 23 years or something. We are fortunate enough to play the last few games with him.
Everyone in the squad wants to give him a good send-off.”
Warne guided RR to a terrific victory in the inaugural season of the lucrative league in 2008. His team wasn’t considered amongst one of the favourites before the start of the event, but the legendary leg-spinner inspired his franchise to victory. However,
the team has struggled since then, but has managed to do a good job this time around.
According to Botha, Warne’s decision to retire from the game would lift the spirit of the entire team. RR took their skipper’s decision positively and were looking forward to give their 100 percent in each game they play next.
Today’s game will be crucial for both teams, as they are separated by just one point. Chennai is currently fourth in the pool with 12 points whereas Rajasthan is fifth with 11.
The home advantage will be with RR and they have proved to be dominant on their own soil. Warne will be looking forward to take as many wickets as possible in the upcoming matches in order to end his career on a high.
