Johan Botha, the Warriors skipper, has given the entire credit of his team’s last-ball victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the thrilling opener of Champions League T20 to his opening batsman, Ashwell Prince, who lashed 74 runs off 55 balls.

Talking to the media, Botha said, “Batting with Prince kept me nice and calm and I went for my shots and it came off for me. Myself and Rusty (Theron) kept counting every over. I had to go for it. We thought a good start in the first six overs would set
it up for us and then the batsmen can play freely.”
The last night’s match was indeed a rip-roaring competition which kept the eyes of the spectators motionless from first to last ball.
Winning the toss, Warriors elected to field first. RCB, the finalists of Indian Premier League -4, played very well and piled up a handsome total of 172 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

The 29-year-old all-rounder started his cricket career in 2000 and staged his International debut in 2005. He has 26 T20I and 92 T20 matches to his credit with excellent averages in both bowling and batting departments.
