The legendary Dutchman, Johan Cruyff, can’t wait for Sunday’s El Clasico and thinks that the stakes are really very high for Real Madrid and their coach, Mourinho, at this early stage of the season.
Real Madrid are visiting their arch-rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 on Sunday. It is an encounter of epic proportions. It could basically determine the fate of the defending champions, Real Madrid, this season and that is exactly how the iconic Dutchman, Johan Cruyff,
feels.
"Normally you don’t know what is going to happen, but this time I think that Madrid are in more danger than ever because they are so far behind," Cruyff explained to
Sky Sports.
That is why Cruyff feels that Real Madrid cannot just afford to lose this game.
The significance of this game is so great that it could be the decider for Real since they have had a slow start to the season and as a result of that, they are trailing behind their bitter rivals, Barcelona, by eight points.
However, Cruyff feels that Madrid will do everything in their power to avoid losing this epic encounter in order to salvage their season.
"If they lose this one it is like having the whole world falling over you. These are normally the games I fear the most. Madrid will do more than everything to change this situation around”.
He further talked about the magnitude and the pressure of this Sunday’s Clasico and what it will mean for Mourinho if the results does not go in his favour.
"Mourinho will be under a lot of pressure after Sunday if they lose. Then there is a big problem.”
Finally, Cruyff feels this game could be the title decider and that the stakes are especially higher for Real Madrid and Mourinho at this early stage of the season.
"It could be [a tipping point]. If [they] play seven or eight games and - if he loses - they will be so far behind [Barca]. There’s no excuse [for that].”
The clash of the two Spanish giants, Barcelona and Real Madrid, will take place at Camp Nou on Sunday.
