The Barcelona legend believes that the Catalan giants should not feel any pressure in La Liga as they have an 11-point lead over Real Madrid.
Barcelona are now the only favourite side to win the Spanish La Liga, as they are currently eleven points above the current Spanish champions, Real Madrid, and six points above the second-place side, Atletico Madrid.
Last night Barcelona were able to win the game against Athletic Bilbao, which took them six points above Atletico Madrid and fourteen points above Real Madrid.
However, both the Madrid-based clubs had their derby game scheduled right after the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 match and the result of the fixture allowed Barcelona to move six points clear of Atletico Madrid, who lost the match 2-0 to Los Blancos.
Since Barcelona are currently at the top of La Liga, they are the favourites to win the domestic title as they have not lost a single game throughout the tournament and they have also managed to make the best ever start to a La Liga campaign.
They were able to beat Real Madrid’s record of scoring the highest number of points in the starting La Liga games, and throughout the season the only two points which they have dropped were against Los Blancos, as El Clasico between the two European giants
ended in a 2-2 draw.
Recently, Barcelona’s legend, Johan Cruyff, stated that La Blaugrana should not feel the pressure as they have almost won the title already.
“If the club are relaxed and grab a glass of champagne, what happens happens. But I would not be nervous.”
“The Barcelona approach is clear. Tito must think only of himself and his team. The distance is so great [between Barcelona and Real Madrid] that nothing can really happen.”
The Spanish league leaders have nothing to worry about in the domestic league and Tito Vilanova is only concentrating on the games which they are winning.
The Catalan coach has given Barcelona the best start in the Spanish La Liga history, but for obvious reasons, repeating what Josep Guardiola did in his very first season is going to be impossible.
The former Barcelona coach won six trophies in a single season, something that no other coach in the world has done before.
