The retired legend expressed his views regarding Pep Guardiola’s future and believes that the tactician will stay as manager of Barcelona.
The former Barcelona star stated that he is confident and hopeful that Guardiola will opt to remain at the helm of the Spanish Champions despite speculations surrounding his departure from the Catalan capital.
Recently several reports and rumors surfaced the Spanish media and suggested that Pep Guardiola is considering a move away from the Nou Camp.
It is indeed true that Guardiola, who gives priority to short-term or one-year contracts, has shown reluctance in signing a new contract with the current UEFA Champions League title holders. The Spaniard’s current contract with La Blaugrana expires with
the end of the current season.
Although Guardiola’s decision to renew his contract with Barca came fairly late in the season, reports have managed to view this season as a different scenario. “Guardiola played for Barcelona and is now coach. He’s a real club man and will not leave them in a lurch. He will not wait two months before announcing his decision. If he did not have any doubts about his future, he would already have made a decision.”
