Well what is safe today is not necessarily safe tomorrow so it is hard to say, I mean, one day you live in a nice peaceful sunny suburb where there is no crime and everyone knows each other and then some white people move in and then the neighbourhood goes down the toilet, it is happening all over SA so I really do not know how to advise you on this one , you will just have to take your chance like the rest of us.

Nowhere is really is safe.

I would suggest you look at the gated patrolled communities in Johannesburg like Melville and then the Northern suburbs. Bryanston, Rivonia, Sandton etc. It all depends on your budget.

Friday's news headlines were that 10% of the private security guards have criminal records so safety is relative.
