  1. OMG that's hard.....

    Is it....

    0? He's a newborn?

    Or....1?

    IDK!!!! STOP HURTING MY HEAD!!!!

  2. He is 4 years old.

    First, translate the word problem:

    set n= John's age right now.

    increased by means + (add)

    is means =

    5 times means multiplication

    less means subtraction

    So: n + 11 = 5n - 5

                 16 = 4n

                   n = 4 (his age right now)

  3. Let John's present age be x years

    then

    x + 11 = 5x - 5

    11 + 5 = 5x - x

    16 = 4x

    16/4 = x

    x = 4

    John's present age is 4 years

  4. let john's age be x years.

    then according to question:-

    x+11=5x-5

    4x=16

    x=4

    Hence john's age is 4 years.

    heheheheh
