John Adams by David McCullough and Founding Brothers by Joseph J. Ellis.

i'm doing a research paper on how people respond to context clues and words in general. the two historical books are mostly considered boring so that is why we are studying the pattern in which the brain registers information. please answer the following questions if and ONLY IF you have read the book and explain. your inputs will be the data that 13 students will be focusing on for this project which is our biggest and most important to date. (we're going to India to study further our studies after this)

1) What were the major influences in Adams’ early life that helped mold his political

philosophy?

2) What role did Adams play during the critical years leading up to the American

Revolution?

3) In what way did Adams contribute to the American Revolution between 1776 and

1781?

4) What were Adams’ major contributions in forming the government of the United

States?

5) What was Adams’ view of the Vice-Presidency? The Presidency?

Written Assignment: Founding Brothers:

  1. I haven't yet read John Adams but recently finished Founding Brothers and I can only say that the book might be boring to someone with no knowledge or interest in American history.  I found it very interesting, I assume that you haven't read it because the questions you ask are covered in detail in the book.

  2. McCullough boring?  I beg to differ.  I feel that he is a very good writer.  I've not yet read his book on Adams.  But I trust he's more even handed than was Korda in writing "Ike, An American Hero."
