John Albert and Ivan Menjivar to collide in Omaha on Fuel TV1 pay-per-view – UFC news
John Albert is all set to undergo his second Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) bout scheduled on February 15, 2012 in ‘UFC on Fuel TV1’ pay-per-view and will take on the Canadian proud mixed martial artist Ivan Menjivar in the bantamweight division.
UFC recently announced its second main card bantamweight brawl for its upcoming first ever pay-per-view on Fuel television. Before that UFC has successfully televised its epic special editions on Fox and FX channels. Apart from the above dual, the Omaha
Civic Auditorium situated in Omaha, Nebraska, America will also witness the clash between Diego Sanchez and Jake Ellenberger, the two welterweights who will headline the entire special edition.
The event will be co-headlined by a heavyweight brawl between Stefan Struve and Dave Herman in the heavyweight division. John is a young 25-year-old lad who has a very minute experience of just eight mixed martial art bouts when compared to Ivan, the ‘Prince
of El Salvador’. Albert, infamous as the Prince as well has won seven of his bouts and lost just one.
The young gun is a power game lover as it is evident from the way he has won most of his skirmishes. John, the American Prince has collected four of his wins by knock out above all he made his debut against Dustin Pague, a respectable brawler who is a bit
difficult to pin.
The only aspect that will make the young prince a bit diffident is his opponent’s sturdy and heavy experience. Ivan, 29, has been in a total 31 mixed martial art fights. He made his debut in UFC on April 30, 2011 and since then invited and authoritatively
nailed two opponents. Interesting aspect is that both those brawlers are not easy competitors since they are famous to give tough time to their opponents.
However, Ivan in a royal way nailed both Americans Nick Pace and Charlie Valencia by total knock out and unanimous decision respectively. Therefore it is possible that the Salvadorian prince might add another war booty which is also American and in the form
of John Albert.
The bout is important for both men in the bantamweight division as it will help them in solidifying their positions and hence a shot at the bantamweight title in near future. The clash is somewhat a handicap match between a newbie and a veteran but UFC is
all about how one tackles his opponent in the octagon.
