Liverpool’s legendary striker John Aldridge has hit out at the way the Reds have been playing and getting managed at the present moment in time in his recent interview. Liverpool have been in a torrid run of form which has seen
them lose to Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314, Newcastle United and Wigan Athletic.
On all three occasions, their manager Kenny Dalglish failed to take the blame for the defeat or for his team’s lacklustre performance as he has come up with excuses like scheduling problems as well as frustration. Liverpool’s recent
capitulation and the subsequent humiliation against Newcastle United was marred by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pepe-c29670 Reina’s sending off which was attributed to frustration by Dalglish who took over at the club last winter.
Kenny has been trying to rebuild the club but he has not been quite successful in his project thus far. Liverpool did win the Carling Cup earlier on in the season but that success has failed to paper over the cracks that have appeared
in their form in the Premier League where they have failed to get even close to the top four places of the league table.
Aldridge hammered home on the point when he said, "There is no getting away from the fact that Liverpool are now in a crisis. To lose six out of seven in the league is something the club won't ever tolerate, we can't tolerate that.
To have picked up just eight points out of 36 since the turn of the year is shambolic - that's relegation form.”
He added, "The fact that this is the worst run in the league since 1954 speaks volumes. Questions are being asked and they need to be answered. The eyes of the world are on Liverpool and the critics are having a field day. We're
becoming a laughing stock. We're all proud to be associated with the club and everything it has achieved over the years. But at the moment being a Liverpool fan is just embarrassing and that's something I haven't had to say before."
