John Buchanan appointed director of New Zealand Cricket: Cricket News
The ex-national coach of the Australian cricket team, John Buchanan, has been appointed as the new director of New Zealand cricket by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) Chief Executive, Justin Vaughan.
New Zealand has confirmed him as the new head as they want him to govern the overall performance and strategies of NZC.
The NZC Chief stated, “John's appointment is an exciting one for New Zealand Cricket. He has a great cricketing pedigree and will provide outstanding leadership as NZC look to move forward.”
The Chief Executive of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 Cricket appreciated Buchanan for his outstanding efforts for the Australian team as their national coach. He said that he is hopeful that Buchanan will head the Kiwis with total commitment and devotion.
Vaughan is of the view that although, Buchanan’s coaching methods were often objected by the Cricket Australia but he has a great sense of cricketing, which will however prove useful for NZC.

He will be taking charge of the post in May 2011.
This newly appointed Director coached the Australian national team for eight years from 1999-2007, and instructed the team in winning two World Cups. He also had a record of winning 16 Test in a row and 21 One Day Internationals (ODIs). He was also called

However, his job in the New Zealand Cricket would be to implement consistency and to build sustainability for the entire cricket system. He will also be having an account on the talent identification system of team.
Former Aussies' coach Buchanan said that he is very happy to be a part of such a historical country that has proud cricket history. He added that he will try his best to build sustainability in the team.
