For weeks, John Cena had been dealing with a dilemma of whether he should the right thing or the thing that would help him the most. When the moment came, he decided to keep his morals and did the right thing. That was to count the pinfall in the main event of "Survivor Series" on Sunday night, where he served as the special referee, giving Randy Orton the victory over Nexus leader Wade Barrett to retain the WWE Championship. Now, as per the stipulation going into the  match, Cena is fired from the company since Barrett did not leave as the champion. If Orton had lost, not only would Barrett have become WWE Champion but Cena would have been freed of his obligations to Nexus.
