John Cena grabs the top place in the WWE Rankings this week
The WWE Champion, John Cena, once again moved to the top place of Power 25 from the third place in this week’s rankings. The WWE presented the Power 25 list for the period of July 3 to July 9 with the help of The Academy of Wrestling Arts and Science.
The WWE Champion participated in the Monday Night Raw that took place on July 4 in Las Vegas. As the new number one contender for WWE Championship, CM Punk was terminated from WWE due to his misconduct against the WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon, the WWE
Champion, John Cena and The Rock. In the June 4th edition of Monday Night Raw, the WWE Champion called out the WWE Chairman and convinced him to reinstate Punk into the Monday Night Raw Segment.
Cena said that he was the WWE Champion and he weighed on WWE’s decision of Punk’s termination. Cena said that WWE’s decision was wrong that did not mean anything. Cena warned that if WWE did not take back his decision, he would be on the line to leave
his title and job also. Cena called out McMahon to the ring for a reply. Cena also demanded that he wanted to face Punk in WWE pay-per-view, 'Money in the Bank'.
At the end of the same show, McMahon came to the ring and addressed the reason for Punk’s suspension. The WWE Champion also made his way towards the ring for an answer. Cena told the WWE Chairman that he did not guarantee that he would be beating Punk,
but still he wanted his WWE Championship match against Punk. The Chairman spoke that it was his company and he would do anything that he desired. The Champion handed his title to Chairman and said that it was his company and that title was meaningless for
him. When Cena left the ring, the Chairman yelled at him and said him to stop. He gave Cena his title and said that he was reinstating Punk. McMahon also said that if Cena lost the title, he would be fired from WWE.
