John Cena vs. Sheamus – h**l in a Cell Steel Cage Match
It was the match everyone was waiting for at the Money in the Bank pay-per-view. The WWE Champion, the 'Celtic Warrior' Sheamus collided with John Cena, with the prestigious WWE Championship on the line. The anonymous General Manager of Monday Night RAW announced this match to soothe the fears of many professional wrestling fans.
Many people feared that the Nexus group would interfere in the match, and the results would not be free and fair. People did not want to see the same story of the Fatal 4-Way repeated again. At the Fatal 4-Way, the Nexus group members interfered in the match and gave a beating to John Cena. Sheamus took the advantage and went for the cover and won the WWE Championship.
This time it was supposed to be safe – or at least people thought it would be a safe match. Both wrestlers started by delivering hard blows to the others’ face. The match was brutal in every sense of the word. One of the most memorable and hardcore moments in this match came when John Cena delivered the “Attitude Adjustment” on Sheamus and banged his back on the ring floor.
Both wrestlers used brutal tactics and slammed each other on the steel walls. There was immense suffering and carnage in the ring, as human flesh collided with steel.
Then John Cena pushed Sheamus to the ropes and the referee accidently got in the way. Sheamus collided with the referee and knocked him down. John Cena grabbed Sheamus’ face and trapped him in his brutal submission hold called the S.T.F.U. After resisting for a few minutes, Sheamus tapped out.
However, there was one big problem, and that was that there was no referee to witness the tapping out of the WWE Champion, Sheamus. The referee was knocked out on the ring floor. There was chaos all over the arena, as no one was abiding by the rules of professional wrestling. It was the law of the jungle which engulfed the wrestling ring.
Now the only way to win the match was to climb the steel cage and jump out. The person touching the floor first would be the winner of the match. Both wrestlers mustered their courage and started climbing the steel cage walls. John Cena was much faster and he reached the top of the steel ring when Sheamus was lying on the ring floor.
For a moment, it felt that John Cena would jump on the concrete floor outside the steel ring and would win the WWE Championship. But then, all the Nexus group members surrounded John Cena and stopped him from jumping on the concrete floor. John Cena traded some real wild punches with all the Nexus group members, taking down as many members as he could.
Meanwhile, Sheamus got up and started climbing the steel ring walls. All of the Nexus group members were concentrating on their attack on John Cena, and nobody cared about Sheamus. Sheamus took advantage of the situation, climbed the steel ring walls and jumped out of the ring. Sheamus won the match and retained his WWE title as soon as his feet touched the floor.
Sheamus ran for his life right after winning the match. Sheamus knew that he was vulnerable from the attacks of Nexus, as the group would attack him as soon as they were finished with John Cena. People believe that John Cena will exact his vengeance and try to beat the h**l out of the Nexus group when he meets them in less than 24 hours on Monday Night RAW.
