John Coppolella promoted as assistant general manager and Bruce Manno as vice president-MLB News

Atlanta Braves reward their officials after going through a tremendous regular season. Their president John Schuerholz has announced that John Coppolella has been promoted to the role of assistant general manager and Bruce Manno to vice president.
Coppolella has been working as director of professional scouting. He will be pleased with the fact that the Braves have acknowledged his success in this role and have granted him promotion in return.
Similarly Bruce Manno acted as assistant general manager for the Braves in the recently concluded regular season.
As recognition of his efforts which resulted in substantial improvements of the Braves, he has been granted the job of vice president of the club.
President Schuerholz has praised the contributions of Coppolella and Manno, stating that under them the club saw improvements in number of areas.
He maintains that their promotion exhibits the faith the club has in their ability to keep helping the team for years to come.
In the last couple of years, the Braves have stabilised with regard to their performance in the regular season. They are far more consistent now and almost every year they end up achieving something enviable.
“These changes are a reflection of the good work and success of our Major League baseball team and the work of Frank and his senior staff,” Braves’ president John Schuerholz said.
Although doing anything substantial in the post-season remains an unfulfilled goal in the last couple of years, they have improved immensely as a team.
If they continue putting up better shows in the regular seasons, there is hardly any reason why they cannot go deep in the post-season and clinch glories.
Along with Coppolella and Manno, president has also recognised the role of General Manager Frank Wren and how effective he has been over the years. Wren’s contract has been extended until 2014.
These developments point to the fact that the Braves are on track and are going smoothly as far as the management is concerned. Unlike some other clubs where after every year dismissals of the officials occur, the Braves are far more established in this
regard.
As the promotions of the officials have been announced, it will be interesting to see as to what extent they can help the club further in the upcoming seasons.
