John Daly charges Hong Kong with a 100 pound less
Where weight loss is considered a major positive in the World, John Daly feels his putting has gone haywire after the pound shedding process.
Nearly everyone had been happy and amazed with how the forty-four year old had been able to lose more than 100 pounds. Though Daly is enjoying a 100 pounds less on him, his putting progression isn’t the same anymore.
The weight reduction has arrived with some problems of its own. The 1987 turned professional explained that one of the principal predicaments he faces is his ability to putt since he had a habit of placing his elbows on his belly.
John Daly has 2 major wins in his bucket and will be appearing at the Honk Kong Open next. Daly joined the European Tour in the year 2002 and has 5 PGA Tour wins. He has one Nationwide Tour win and won the European Tour three times.
The forty-four year old will be playing the Hong Kong Open from the 17th of November till the 21st of this month, which will be held at the Hong Kong golf course in Fanling, for the 10th consecutive time.
Daly now has to handle a mere 195 pounds and is still getting used to it. According to the golfer from United States, he doesn’t have anyplace to put his elbows now since the reduction of his tummy.
“I used to put them on my love handles, now there’s no place for them”, Daly said.
With his elbows now going all over the place while putting, the forty-four year old will play the second to last tournament of the European Tour tomorrow. The event has a prize bag of US $ 2.5 million and will begin on Thursday.
With the event looming in its wake, Daly is hopeful for his form to return and said that he is ready to jump into the race that already has golfers like Rory McIlroy and Ian Poulter in it. Among the previously mentioned Ryder Cup pin-up performers, the list
also includes another well known competitor known as Miguel Angel Jiminez.
“My putting will obviously take some time to resurrect but the results have a habit of speaking for themselves”, he said.
The event has a first prize of $405,000 and Daly wants it all. The California born faced a shoulder injury some time back and made a sizeable amount of cuts this year.
“My ball striking has been just great", Daly said.
