John Gadret’s hopes for the Giro d’Italia overall classifications still alive
John Gadret is having a tough season and has not picked any victories in the season yet.
He is currently seen in action at the Giro d’ Italia 2012 and is looking good for an overall victory at the race.
The cyclist currently holds the 15th overall position after the stage 15 classifications and is 3 minutes and 24 seconds behind the race leader Joaquim Rodriguez.
The French received immense support by his team-mates throughout the race and is now looking good for the top podium spot at the first Grand Tour race of the season.
While commenting on his colleagues’ contributions during the race he could not thanked Hubert Dupont enough for his help.
John cited, "Hubert gave me his rear wheel when I punctured in the descent, with 20 kilometres to go”.
“Thanks to him, I was able to catch up with the favourites' group at the foot of the last climb”.
“Without Hubert, all my objectives at this Giro would have been crushed and I really want to thank him”.
The 33-year-old started with Team Cofidis as a trainee in 2003 and marked his professional debut with Team Vlaanderen-T Interim for 2004-05 seasons.
He accepted an offer from Team AG2R in 2006 and is continuing with the side for the seventh consecutive season.
Gadret also holds the 13th overall sport after the stage 15 point’s classifications with a total number of 32 points to his credit.
