Feyenoord Rotterdam striker, John Guidetti, has stressed that he is more than happy playing at De Kuip Stadion and has asserted that he will not leave his current club in the ongoing January transfer window.
The 19-year-old’s agent has recently revealed that around 15 clubs have expressed interest in signing his client. However, the teenager, who is on-loan from Manchester City, has revealed that none of the clubs have come with an offer to lure him away from
De Kuip Stadion.
“The transfer market is open until the end of January and you never know what can happen. If the opportunity of a lifetime comes along, I must grab it. But I have no concrete evidence that I will receive a huge offer, so I do not think about it”, Guidetti
was quoted as saying to the media.
The young Swedish ace then went on to assert that he ignores all the rumours linking him with a move to join a top European clubs and revealed that he is relishing the challenges awaiting him in the second half of the season.
“I pay no attention to all those stories about me. I’m looking forward to the second half of the season. The European Championships are coming up and I think I'm good enough for the Swedish team, although I’ve still never been called up to the squad. I will
do everything I can in the next few months to convince the coach that I’m good enough”, Guidetti concluded.
The 19-year-old, who joined the Rotterdammers at the start of the ongoing campaign, has thus far netted an impressive 11 goals in 12 Eredivisie appearances. His good performances have played an integral role in the Rotterdammers' success, as they are sitting
fifth in the league table.
The youngster would be keen to continue staging scintillating shows upfront and help his side finish in the top three Eredivisie sides at the end of the season.
