Rumour mills in the Dutch and English media are rife that Manchester City striker, John Guidetti, will spend another season on loan at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam.
However, the Rotterdam giants’ technical director, Martin van Geel, has mooted all such speculation. The Swedish ace, who started his professional career at Brommapojkarna in the summer of 2008, moved to the current English Premier League champions at the
start of the 2010/11 season.
However, he failed to feature in even a single match for the Citizens, and was loaned to his former club on a six-month deal before plying his trade at Burnley on loan for the second half of the 2010/11 campaign.
The Rotterdam giants managed to acquire his services on a season-long loan deal in the summer of 2011, and the young striker stunned everyone with his brilliant performances at De Kuip Stadion, netting an astonishing 20 goal in 23 Eredivisie appearances.
Following his successful loan spell, rumours were rife that the promising youngster will yet again ply his trade in the highest echelons of Dutch football, with the Rotterdammers being his most likely destination.
However, Van Geel has denied all reports claiming that his side are looking to lure the striker to Rotterdam, and has insisted that his side is certainly not looking to bring the Swedish striker for another loan spell.
“There is absolutely no truth in it. There are speculations based upon nothing”, the club’s technical director was quoted as saying to the official Eredivisie website.
The Dutchman, however, went on to reveal that his side is planning to renew Omar Elabdellaoui’s loan deal for another season.
The Manchester City winger, who was part of the Feyenoord squad in the 2011/12 season, failed to represent the Stadiumclub in even a single Eredivisie game in the recently concluded season.
“I expect no problems, we want to finalize the deal next week”, Van Geel concluded.
