John Harbaugh aims for strong Baltimore Ravens rebound on Philadelphia Eagles loss – NFL News
After the loss against Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh aims to consolidate their strength and come back strongly in the next game.
John said the loss has not affected his belief in ability of the players and they all are well capable of staging a strong turnaround in the forthcoming game.
The coach said:
"You're never going to forget it. But anytime you lose it creates an opportunity. When you win you look at everything hard and try to build on it. When you lose, man that sting really forces you to dig deep.”
He added:
"If we can take this week and make the most of the fact that we didn't win the game and find ways to do a lot of things better and grow as a football team, in the long run that's how you get to where you're going. We're going to try to make it into a positive
and come back swinging."
The Ravens came closer to winning the game, but a touchdown from their opposition in the last two minutes of the game made the difference at the end, and they lost the tie with a single point difference.
Harbaugh and other staff of the coaching department have repeatedly watched video recording of the game to note where they could have done better, but the coach is apparently not disappointed by the team’s performance overall.
The effort of the entire squad nevertheless did not match their performance of the season opener when quarterback Joe Flacco led them to a thumbing victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The Eagles’ result was rather a surprise but overall the team could not
find rhythm.
As pinpointed by the coach, they did commit a few mistakes but given that their opposition could not exploit those mistakes to convert them into opportunities they did not take a toll on their performance overall.
The mistakes nevertheless are mistakes and the coach is aiming to work with each player in individual capacity to rectify them before this weekend’s game.
The team’s loss although affected their rating it did not have an impact on the overall standings of the American Football Conference (AFC) North. The Pittsburgh Steelers, Cincinnati Bengals and the Ravens are with a win each on the table. The Cleveland
Browns are yet to win any game.
