http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s national selector, John Inverarity, is impressed by Matthew Wade’s progress in international cricket and believes that by playing in different conditions over the last 12 months, the wicketkeeper/batsman has gained valuable experience at the game’s ultimate stage.
Since the retirement of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Haddin-c1170 was always considered to be Gilchrist’s successor but the New South Welshman has not been consistent enough.  
Wade, the Hobart-born wicketkeeper/batsman, came through the ranks of domestic sport in Australia, making his international debut in 2011 in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 in Haddin’s absence.
The left-handed batsman registered his maiden Test century in only his third match against the islanders at Dominica.
At the present moment, there is a fierce competition going on between Wade and Haddin for a place in the Test side for the upcoming series against South Africa at home.
The 24-year-old cricketer played a blistering knock against Queensland last week, scoring 89 runs off 175 balls, in which he struck 10 fours. The innings turned out to be the difference between the two sides as Victoria won the encounter by 10 wickets.
Inverarity witnessed the youngster’s half-century and is impressed by Wade’s ability to perform under trying circumstances.
"It shows what a very good batsman Matthew Wade is," Inverarity said. "That innings, in the context of that game was the match-winner. They bowled very well in helpful conditions and that 89 was a very significant batting performance.”
The national selector expressed that Wade has played in so many different conditions since emerging at the international stage, which should be vital for his success in future.
"If you go back to February, he played for Australia, then he played on the wickets in the West Indies, then he went to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758. The amount of experience he's got into his experience in seven months is fantastic," he mentioned.
