  1. Born on April 26, 1985 in the city of North Carolina, John Robert Isner is a professional tennis player from the United States of America. He is the second highest ranked American at number nineteen in the ATP ranking list behind Andy Roddick on the tour. Isner’s most famous wins were versus Roddick at the United States Open back in 2009 and against Nicolas Mahut at Wimbledon this season where he took part in the longest tennis match in the history against Nicolas Mahut.
