On the night that Barack Obama accepted his party's nomination to be their candidate for President, John McCain paid for an ad congratulating Obama on his historic nomination. Last night, John McCain took a few moments at the beginning of his acceptance speech to again complement Obama. Has McCain's graciousness ever been returned by Obama?

  1. h**l no..and they wont be...just as obama didnt say he prayed for the troops until palin did...he came out the next day and said it...the troops watch the news to....my husband called and told me they all laughed about obama being a day late and a dollar short...they dont like him anymore than the general public does..he is a scary person for a presidential candidate

edit: mvp take a look at the polls..palin is actually leading both men..and they are tied at last look..so obama isnt the leader that he should be at this point..thats already a fact since his convention was first...blah

  2. Yes.

  3. You're kidding, right?

McCain unleashed his "pit bull" on Obama the night before.

Everything McCain said about Obama was canned.

  4. yes he has on numerous occasions. Step back from foxnews and read his acceptance speech for starters.

  5. It amazes me that people are answering "no".  Have they not watched any of his speeches, and they're just making stuff up, or do they simply choose to lie?  Yes, he has complimented him on several occasions. He also chooses to not attack him personally, and instead focuses on the issues, which the McCain campaign cannot say.

And Ballie28 says "they don't like him any more than the general public does" so that means they like Obama more than McCain I guess since Obama is leading in the polls?

  6. Obama said "We owe John McCain a debt of gratitude for his service to his country."

    and in his acceptance speech:

"I love this country, and so do you, and so does John McCain"

    not paying attention?

  7. Are you joking? Everytime a democrat tries to insult mccain they first add this big long speech about how mccain was their bff and stuff. Mccain just goes straight into Obama.

  8. No because Obama is Childish and he is quick to put the spotlight on himself and get into his speech about how he stands for nothing.

    McCain/Palin 2008

  9. gracious republican is contradiction in terms

  10. Not that I've noticed.

I did hear a speech once where Obama complimented McCain.

He immediately followed up his nice comment by saying McCain was "WRONG, WRONG, WRONG!"

Typical of him to try to make himself look "gracious" right before stabbing McCain in the back.

  11. Yes in Obama's speech. In Biden's as well. McCain was acknowledged.
