isn't Iraq the best example of wasteful spending out their. yet Mccain supports it. Something like $80 billion a year (I'm not sure on the exact figure) is being wasted by us staying in Iraq. if this isn't an example of wasteful spending I don't know what is? Its a bridge to NOWHERE

who else agrees?

Obama/Biden 08

  1. An agreement on Iraq troop withdrawls will be signed within 2 weeks, a non issue.

What about the $700BILLION that goes out of the country each year for oil.

Why do the Democrats want to keep wasting taxpayers money

  2. Oh, stop, with Iraq, already.  No amount of money spent in support of our military is wasteful.  And, in case you haven't read anything except YA in the last few weeks, there IS indeed negotiations involving a timeline for withdrawal from Iraq.

I don't agree with you for one minute.

  3. One man's waste is another man's necessity.

To McCain a war is a necessity.

To others $ 10 billion per month spent on an army of occupation is a waste.

    Different strokes for different folks.

Any Black who does not vote for Obama is a traitor to his race

Any White who does not vote for Obama is prejudiced

    Democrats offer welfare

    Republicans offer warfare

    Democrats offer higher taxes

    Republicans offer deficit spending

Libertarians offer none of the above

  4. Hey buddy at least we have something for what we paid for. What is 10 billion a month getting us, except over 4000 of our finest getting killed, and thousands more maimed, and will need a life time of care and healing.

  5. If we have given the Iraqi people their freedom and a future, is this wasted money? I think not. BTW, it was your Congress who voted for the war spending not John Mccain.  MCCAIN '08

  6. Wasteful spending?  I guess you're one of those who don't believe that the surge was a success just like the Holocaust never occurred.

  7. Hussein killed 55,000 people, was threatening the US, and was found in possession of 550 tons of yellowcake uranium.  Bush wanted to take the war to them rather than wait until it was brought over here like 9/11.  The dems voted in favor of it too.  The only difference is the Bush administration didn't weasel out like the dems.

  8. You need to consider something when it comes to financing the military, and actions in Iraq.  Even if a person disagrees with past actions, bottom line is that the troops there need food, clothing, defense, protection, etc.  Clinton and Obama both have voted for funding for our military in Iraq.  Regardless of policy, we still have to provide for the well-being of our troops.  I don't consider it wasteful to fund our soldiers, even if I don't agree 100% with the reasons for going into Iraq.  McCain is a realist... he knows that we can't just have a mass exodus and leave a mess behind in Iraq.  Of course he wants to see troops reduced, but he knows that the loose ends need to be tied before that can happen.  From Petraeus' reports, I'm sure even McCain will be willing to look at possibilities for reducing our actions there.  He was right for supporting the surge... it worked.

  9. Barack has also said "i want to end the war responsibly" as if there is any other way.

McCain wants to win the war responsibly also. But his v.p. pick didn't vote against funding the troops like Biden. that to me is irresponsible

  10. If he wants to cut spending, he should cut himself from the race
