Former Manchester United defender John O’Shea along with Sunderland skipper Lee Cattermole has revealed he is determined to defeat the Red Devils in the English Premier League over the weekend.
The 31-year-old will be going up against his former side in the last game of the season, in a match that could successfully end Manchester United’s hopes of ending up with a trophy. Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson’s side are currently level with Manchester City, but are
behind on goal difference.
While Manchester City will face Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314 in their last game of the season, Manchester United take on Sunderland. John O’Shea along with the rest of his teammates is determined to ensure Manchester United end up trophy-less this season.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323, the Manchester City boss, said earlier on in an interview that he expected Manchester United to secure an easy win at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland. O’Shea believed the Italian manager was wrong, especially since the Black Cats
had managed to obtain four points during their clashes in the English Premier League.
O’Shea said while speaking to reporters:
“Believe me, the two times City have played against us this season, they knew it wasn't an easy game. We've taken four points off them, and it should have been six if we think about the game at their place."
He continued:
“First and foremost, you want to do well for yourself and your own team.
It could be a huge game for United, depending on how City do, but we want to finish with a win for our fans and we want to try to get in the top 10.”
The Black Cats captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-Cattermole-c21868 revealed that his side still had a lot to play for, since they could earn a cash prize of 3 million pounds. He admitted they were motivated for a higher finishing in the League, which is why they wouldn’t just be playing
for a draw but instead were aiming for a win.
Cattermole said:
“It might be a big game for United but it is worth three points and that makes it massive for us too.”
