John O’Shea, the 30-year-old Manchester United defender, has completed a four-year move to Sunderland, along with teammate Wes Brown. Realizing that he would not be guaranteed regular football at Old Trafford, O’Shea wasted little time in agreeing to the
move to the Stadium of Light.

Cats.
O’Shea said in an interview:
“Once I'd heard reports about the club and the people here, the ambitions and what the manager was all about, it was the only place I was going to come to.”
Sunderland did surprisingly well last season and the manager has set his sights on a sixth place finish in the upcoming season. This may be the reason why they have managed to attract top players for the 2011-2012 season.
The Sunderland boss Steve Bruce revealed he was extremely pleased to have signed eight players in the summer transfer window, including the recent signings Wes Brown and John O’Shea. He said he was looking forward to the contributions the former United players
would make for Sunderland.
The Sunderland boss said while speaking to reporters:
“I'm delighted with the players we have been able to secure ahead of the new season.”
Bruce continued:
“John has been a solid, consistent part of Manchester United's squad for well over a decade, which goes to show the fantastic pedigree of player we have signed.
He is a wonderful professional both on and off the field and his wealth of experience and versatility will be great attributes for us.”
O’Shea made his senior debut for Manchester United in the 1998-1999 season and in his 12 years as a Manchester United player, spent time on loan with Bournemouth and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Antwerp. He has made 392 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions and has
found the back of the net 15 times.
