  1. I did  not know that Fogarty had tried it and as I do take in an interest in these things can only assume that he was not up to much. Mind you that is not surprising as he is and always was a waste of space as far as I am concerned. He could ride a bike well enough but not as well as he thought he could and certainly no where near the level he always wanted to tell any poor sod who happened to be within ear shot of the wind bag.

Vale, as others have said, has tried it and done better than just hitting a tree but I would not bet on him reaching the top flight when he does go. The transition itself is quite possible but if you mean to a simiar level then I doubt it. To be a top performer in most disciplines then you have to dedicate your life from an early age to it and it is incredbily difficult to do that on a bike and then at the age of say 30 expect to have some team take you on when there is young talent out there.

  2. I think Rossi will have a real go at Rallying when he is finished with GP. I think Baylis is going to go to Oz and do V8 Supercars.

As Mentioned Schuie is racing 2 wheels and might get to superbike level. Im not sure if anyone wil go from bikes to F1 anymore. But it is possible.

  3. God's already had a go - and may well have

another in time to come - x*x -

  4. In the opposite direction, Michael Shumacher is now taking part in motorcycle race meetings is the German Championships. A couple of years ago Rossi had a go at rallying but not very successfully from what I remember I think he ended up hitting a tree.

  5. I take it you never heard of Graeme Crosby ?

As Proc states, Rossi is doing a spot of rally racing, as is Travis Pastrana from time to time.

What 4 wheel racing did Foggy do?

Also, I love your questions Ring-bolt / Albert, what ever you want to call your self, but what is your beef with modern day riders ?

I love the " good old days " as much as the next man, but I also admire what the modern high end rider must do to race at the speeds they do.
