John Terry out before England’s Euro 2012 qualification match against Montenegro

Joleon Lescott, Gary Cahill and Rio Ferdinand are now all part of a race to determine who will be the person to join the English team in the match against Montenegro.
The reason why calamity has struck the Three Lions camp is because the already injury prone tattered English camp will now have to say farewell to centre back John Terry as he has been ruled out for the all important Euro 2012
qualification match against Montenegro.
Though the Chelsea captain had been suffering from a rib injury; that however is not the reason behind his absence from the match at Wembley. The reason is a new injury which has been troubling Terry since a very long time.
It has been informed that the defender is suffering from an injured back, which has also ruled him out of action. Reports have concluded that the injury occurred while he was practicing and scans afterwards confirmed the reports.
The player had been controversially called on international duty but now the Football Association has confirmed that Terry is headed back to the club’s head quarter, Stamford Bridge.
The results of the first report that determines the period of time that the player will stay out of play is due and it is expected that the information will be relayed in the next couple of hours.
FA has stated that the player has made a return to the South of London where he will be treated by the club. They are hoping that the injury is not serious and he will be fine for Chelsea’s Premier League match against their London
rivals, Aston Villa.
Officials from the club have stated, “John Terry has returned to Chelsea this evening with a back injury.”
They also informed, “Terry was assessed by England medical staff on Sunday and will not be fit to play any part in Tuesday's game against Montenegro.”
On who will be replacing the player the official commented, “No further call-ups will be made at this time.”
This will be yet another massive blow to the Italian manager of England Fabio Capello. He already had to make a decision to play either Phil Jagielka or Rio Ferdinand in the upcoming match and what had made the decision worse was
the fact that Ferdinand was the original skipper of the Three Lions.
Nonetheless it is expected that Jagielka will also not be featuring in the match as the player has a hamstring injury. To balance up the falling English department it seems that Capello will have to call upon the services of Ferdinand.
At the moment this whole mad hater’s party means that Capello will have to choose between the Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott or the Bolton Wanderers centre back Gary Cahill. It is expected that one of them will be standing
alongside Ferdinand as the last line of defence for England.
With England’s dignity about to shatter because of a high fall from a wall, all of the king’s men and all of their horses will not be able to gather the broken pieces of English pride, now that they are so close at amending their
poor FIFA 2010 World Cup campaign and their fans are once again ready to trust them.
Cahill was called on international duty this Friday after Jagielka was feared to be injured. It seems that Lady Luck has deserted the England’s department of defence as both Terry and Ferdinand had missed the earlier set of internationals
of the nation.
Earlier Michael Dawson as well as Mathew Upson were both injured and therefore ruled out from international duty. That was however just a part of the whole saga, as England has continued to lose defenders since the beginning of
this summer.
Ferdinand will be marking a comeback since the FIFA 2010 World Cup where he injured his knee in a practice session before the tournament in South Africa. Ferdinand has already started his comeback with club football and it seems
more than likely that he will participate in the match.
Nevertheless with his coming an issue will also have to be addressed and that is who will retain the captaincy responsibility which was originally handed to Ferdinand by Capello in February.
However after his injury the Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has told Capello that he would like to keep the post. Capello’s first answer to the question who will be the captain of England was replied with Ferdinand taking up
the yellow band but current situation reckons that the decision will have to be seen in the last minute before the game.
