John Terry reveals England squad set to hold urgent team talk with Fabio Capello

England’s former captain John Terry has revealed that the squad will sit down with Fabio Capello tonight and discuss possible switches in tactics that need to be made before Wednesday’s crucial game against Slovenia at Port Elizabeth.

There are simply no excuses for the way England have been performing so far, so when something is simply not working, it needs to be changed.

The three lions have been lacking passion and belief, and whether Capello is willing to listen to what Terry and the players have to say remains to be seen.

Terry may no longer be the England captain but he spoke like a true leader today when revealing the plan for tonight and also speaking of the fact that fans should get behind their country at a time like this rather than making the situation harder.

He said in a press conference this morning: "We've got a meeting tonight, probably to watch the Algeria game to see where we went wrong, which is probably the whole 90 minutes.

"As a group of players, we owe it to ourselves and to everyone back home, if we feel there is a problem, to say so. There is no point in keeping it in.

"Whether we have an argument with the manager or it upsets him, us expressing our opinions, everyone needs to get off their chests exactly how they feel.

"If it upsets him or any other player, so what?"

Terry continued to address that all players should remain 100% behind Capello whatever he decides at the end of it.

"I'm not going to sit here and question the manager. I'm here on behalf of the team and the players and we are all fully behind the manager.

"Since he came in, he's had his ways and philosophies which he has brought to the side and that has worked in the campaign so nothing should change from that.

"We shouldn't be looking at excuses or criticising the manager. He takes a lot of responsibility being the England manager.

"But at the same time we are here, we are supporting him, we are fully behind him, we know we've got his support as well and that's the main thing."

Let’s just hope the team talks results in some positivity and England finally perform to the level which is expected.

David James has been a good change, and what else should we be expecting? Joe Cole perhaps?

If England manages to secure a victory over Slovenia on Wednesday then they will qualify through to the final 16 stage. What frame of mind should England be in during the match?

Terry said "We will go out there and need to think 'sod it, we've got one game which can make or break us'.

"I've said to the guys I've been away from my family for three or four weeks and I've come here to win this tournament.

"I don't want to go home on Wednesday. I'm here to win it."

I say goodluck England.
