http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 wishes to manage Chelsea someday – Premier League Update
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo, have given him new hope
in fulfilling his dreams and it now seems all the more realistic for him to be manager someday.
Considering the young age of the new management at the club, the skipper feels that his career isn’t limited to just playing on the field for the team anymore, as he could one day become the boss at the club that he holds close to his heart.
Terry when talking about his future ambitions is quoted to have said: "Obviously my overall aim is to become manager"
"And looking at this [Villas-Boas' appointment], as well as Roberto Di Matteo being brought in as coach, it’s great for current players as well.
The England international then went on to state how there are countless possibilities for him and the other senior members of the Chelsea squad, once they retire.
He then added: "They are giving chances to people who have been around the club and who know the club inside out as well. So that tells the players inside the club - myself, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Petr-Cech-c29837 - who have all been here a long time,
that if we do our coaching badges then there will be roles here in the future.”
"Whether that’s with the first team or reserves, the club are encouraging that which is good."
Terry has been Chelsea captain for as long as anyone can remember. The player has brilliant command over his team and has the ability to read the game brilliantly. At the same time, he has become a figure in the world of football who everyone looks up to,
which means that he has all the basic requirements that are needed for him to become a manager.
At the moment, all that is really left for Terry to do, is to hang up his footballing boots and head out to earn his coaching bade. Once the player does that, it is safe to say that he would be able to take over as the reserves manager at the club and maybe
someday he might even be able to work his way up to being the first team’s boss.
All in all, it is still too early to say anything and it is going to be a couple of years before Terry starts heading down the managerial road.
