The Liverpool owner has made it clear that even if Kenny Dalglish won the F.A Cup, he would’ve still lost his job because the Reds did not perform well enough in the English Premier League as they finished below the expected
mark...
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786. A lot of the media pundits
have suggested that Kenny’s failure to bring F.A Cup to Anfield was the main reason for his departure from the club but John W Henry has made it clear that even if Kenny Dalglish won the F.A Cup, he would’ve still lost his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
Kenny took over at Anfield following the dismissal of Roy Hodgson in the winter of 2011 but failed to improve Liverpool’s fortune. Under Dalglish, the Merseyside giants made it to the Carling Cup final as well as the F.A Cup final.
However the Reds only won the Carling Cup and that too via a penalty shootout.
Nonetheless Kenny has since then been displaced by Brendan Rodgers at Anfield who has been assured that he will be given time to turn the club’s fortunes around. Rodgers is busy with Liverpool on pre-season tour now but the Reds
are also fishing around in the transfer market to add to their squad strength which is vital if they want to make it into the top four teams of the Premier League table.
Henry said, "The FA Cup would not have made any difference had he won it, no, no. For us we were 17th over the second half of the season and Liverpool should not be in that position. I don't place the blame on Kenny and assistant
Steve Clarke but I think it was obvious to every fan.”
He added, "When I first discussed making a change before he took the job, we danced around it and discussed what role he would take at some point. He did say that if it was the manager's job, he would only do it until we had the
right young man to come in for the long term.”
