December 31st vs. Indiana Pacers
The Washington Wizards arrived at the Conseco Fieldhouse to face off the Indiana Pacers. The Wizards line-up failed to put up an upright performance; however John Wall was displayed an outstanding performance once again. He racked up a game-high 25 points
and handed out four assists and saved his team from an embarrassing defeat.
The prolific power forward lifted the momentum incredibly in the second half of the game to cut down a huge 15 points deficit. He landed 17 in the third quarter however Wall was restricted by the Pacers to continue the action in the final 12 minutes that
resulted in 95-86 loss for the visiting Wizards.
January 11th vs. Sacramento Kings
Wall landed 22 points and dished out 9 assists to support the scoring machine of the night Nick Young in a thrilling 136-133 overtime victory against the Sacramento Kings. Young racked up a game-high 43 points as he was massively supported by John in a hardly
fought meeting.
Despite of a top scoring performance from the guard Young, the Kings managed to strike back strongly in the fourth quarter as Wall’s impressive supported led the game towards 126-126 tie, from where the Wizards sealed a brilliant victory.
February 16th vs. Orlando Magic
Although the Washington Wizards were comprehensively crushed by the vigorous Orlando Magic at Amway Center however Wall managed to put up an upright performance. In the confrontation against the Big man Dwight Howard, John landed a team-high 27 points to
show some resistance.
John said after the game."In the third quarter, I thought Dwight did a dominant job. He just took over the game and got a big lead for his team."
Wall is one of the few Rookies from a weak team who managed to perform against the best sides, comprised of the finest players in the league.
February 25th vs. Miami Heat
The Wizards arrived at American Airlines Arena in a game against Miami Heat that was utterly dominated by the invincible trio. Despite of a forceful assail from the Big 3, Wall once again showed his brilliance against the top team with the best players.
He wrapped up a double-double with 24 points and 12 assists to haunt the surging Heat.
Wall kept the score board ticking in the first three quarter with the star guard Young however the Miami took the charge stoutly in the final quarter to clinch the victory.
March 20th vs. New Jersey Nets
The Wizards were playing without their superstar Nick Young as John Wall guided the line-up for an electrifying 98-92 victory over the New Jersey Nets. The prolific power forward Wall racked up a game-high 26 points and dished out 8 assist as the Washington
overcame 17-point deficit.
John said after an exciting turnaround. "They just kept giving me the ball, and I willed us to the win."
In the absence of Young, Wall spearheaded his team with example and sealed a magnificent victory at Verizon Center.
March 23rd vs. Los Angeles Clippers
Wall’s one of the best performances of the season came after a thrilling double-overtime victory against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. The 20-year-old John truly had an impressive night with the ball as he landed 32 points and handed out 10
assists to power the Wizards for an enthralling 127-119 victory.
The spirited Wall scored five points in the first overtime to escalate 113-113 tie as the Wizards snatched the victory in the next five minutes.
