Irked by Jesse Ryder’s latest adventure, the New Zealand coach John Wright has said that the batsman would have to behave in a professional way, if he wants to be retained in the national side.
"We need cricketers who are responsible, accountable and professional," said an irked Wright while speaking to media reporters on Friday. "You're representing cricket fans...there's a lot of responsibility that comes with that, on and off the field,” he

after losing the second ODI to the Proteas on Wednesday.
Both players are injured and the New Zealand Cricket Code of Conduct does not allow injured players to drink between games. They not only broke the team protocol but also misbehaved with the patrons of Napier bar.
Wright agreed that Ryder is a talented cricketer who has contributed a lot to the national team, however, he did make it clear that it is not only the performances that the team management and the selectors want from the players, but also appropriate behaviour.

same year and has so far played 18 Tests, compiling 1269 runs at an average of 40.93.
Ryder also failed to make the cut for the opening Test of the three-match series against South Africa on March 7.
