Jesus said that John was Elias, and Elias appeared with Moses in the Transfiguration. That means that John got he head back!

Why do Christians preach the resurrection of Christ, but forget the resurrection of John the Baptist?

  1. It is true that in the transfiguration, "Elijah" portrays, symbolizes, John. However, that doesn't mean that it was John. John was dead and still is until he is resurrected. Acts 24:15;Ps 37:11,29.

  2. from a theological perspective....John appeared in spirit form ..not flesh.

  3. Nobody forgets it.   It's not the point.  After all, because of Christ's resurrection, EVERYONE who believes will be resurrected, including John the B.

  4. Scriptures please... I would love to follow this up...

the bit where Jesus says John is Elias that is!

  5. Jesus was telling lies again.  Don't you know that you are taking the bible out of context.  It doesn't SAY what it actually SAYS. You have to interpret it properly.  ie Make stuff up as you go along, or change whatever doesn't agree with you.

  6. John himself, however, denied that he was Elijah.
