The Democrats (my party) have shown a remarkable ability to throw away certain victory. Do you remember President Dukakis? Almost 20 points ahead coming out of the convention. How about President Gore? Economic good times, inherited the good feeling for the Clinton administration, just could not disenfranchise enough overseas military voters in Florida. What a shame.

This looks to be another "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory" moment. Obama swung so far left during the primaries that his move towards the center (usually just a couple of small steps) looks like a runaway freight train; and that was just to get him back into the far left fringe of the party.

And, he chose Joe as VP. Do you know that Senator Biden is the only sitting senator to be credited with creating a verb? "To Bork." That comes from his tour as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee when he threw away 199 years of history, in which a judicial nominee was assessed only for the individual's ability to judge. Senator Biden threw all of that away and politicized the process with Judge Bork, getting him disqualified because Senator Biden was afraid he would not vote in accordance with the Senator's constituents' hot buttons of the moment. Strange, none of the Brown v Board of Education justices were ever questioned about school integration, just about their ability to judge, and they came to the right conclusion. None of the Roe v Wade justices were ever questioned about abortion or right to privacy, but they were able to judge. Biden threw that all away.

Coupled with near-daily revelations of anti-capitalism, anti-semitism and trying to polliticize Jesus (you haven't seen that one? Astounding) Obama is almost certain to throw this one away.

At the last minute the far left fringe of my party will do what it always does when its back is to the wall, and that is point at the nearest white Republican and yell "Racist!" That is guaranteed to turn out the black vote! Unfortunately, Obama got 90% of the black vote in the Democratic primaries, and the old ploy won't create new black voters to turn the tide.

Yup, my party is going to lose another one. McCain is irrelevant. Obama could be running against Roger Rabbit; he's going to lose.

How do you figure he's on the mat?  As unreliable as polls are they still consistently show he and Obama not separated by any margin larger than the recognized margin of error.  Hillary's overconfidence is one of the things that cost her the nomination, Obama would be a fool to make the same mistake.

Obama doesn't have the heart or the balls to deliver a knockout blow.  He showed it weeks ago when he sputtered through question after question., provided that they were within his pay grade.

Obama is like a L*****n.  He needs to wear a strap-on (Joe Biden) to get the job done.
