Two American mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters, Louis Gaudinot and Johnny Bedford faced each other on December 3, 2011 at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. The event, produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), was held
in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino Resort. Bedford won the bout with a knockout. He was able to put down Gaudinot when he striked his knees to Gaudinot and won the fight through a technical knockout (TKO).
Both MMA fighters were making their UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale. Bedford, the 28-year-old fighter was confident and focused when he stepped in the UFC octagon ring for the first time in his career. His opponent,
the 27-year-old Gaudinot was also making his UFC debut. For both the fighters, this bout was an important being it was the beginning of their UFC careers.
Their bout was the first fight on the event’s main card, which was for the bantamweight division. In the first round of the bout, both fighters had a conventional fighting stance as their fight started. As the fighters made their
stalking stance, they did throw some punches and kicks but they were not on target. Bedford was able to takedown Gaudinot but the latter stood up swiftly. Bedford wanted to apply his armbar submission move but it did not go well and Gaudinot was again able
to stand up. As the first round was closing in to an end, Bedford struck with his knee shots when Gaudinot went down. But his knee shots could not take out Gaudinot permanently.
With the second round in progress, Bedford used some boxing style fighting moves. Gaudinot then retaliated when he took down Bedford with force. Gaudinot was being thrashed by Bedford with his hard shots. Gaudinot was in control
of Bedford in the later parts of the second round. He applied his armbar submission on Bedford but the move could not work as the second round bell rang.
As the third round began, both UFC debutant fighters wanted a win to start their successful UFC careers. Bedford made the first impact in the third round with his kicks. Gaudinot was soon in trouble when Bedford cashed in the opportunity
and struck with his body shots and knee shots. Gaudinot could not reply to any of these shots as Bedford kept his assault with his knee shots, which were enough for the referee to end the bout.
