If it werent for Carl Perkins no one would ever have heard of Elvis. He was a dork who REAL rock 'n' rollers didnt like. He didnt write his own songs, could passably play guitar, his good music only lasted about 3 years, he was Nixons rat who turned in Rockers for drugs and died on them.

Johnny Cash is ALL that Elvis wasnt.
