Johnny Herbert to join the stewards at the Brazilian Grand Prix

The Brazilian Grand Prix is set to take place this weekend at the legendary Interlagos track. The championship is at a critical situation currently and the FIA does not want anything to go wrong. The panel of stewards at the Brazilian Grand Prix currently
contains Gerd Ennser, Paul Gutjahr and Felipe Giaffone. Johnny Herbert, the former Formula 1 driver was also included in this panel in order to ensure that the race runs smoothly and the drivers abide by the rules.
Interlagos is one of the most technical tracks in the Formula 1 and the FIA wants the best in their panel of stewards for the race weekend. With just a couple of days left before the practice sessions begins, the FIA announced that Herbert is going to be
one of the decision-makers after the widespread praise he received and will give an insight into the problems the drivers are facing.
Former, Benetton, Sauber and Jaguar driver will perform this function for the third time this season. Johnny had to monitor the Turkish and Malaysian grand prix earlier on this season and since both of the races ran smoothly, the FIA decided to bring in
the best once again for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
Johnny Herbert won 3 races and scored 7 podiums in his 11 year old career in the sport. The British driver was not able to secure a single pole position or a front row qualification. Johnny scored his best result during his time with Benetton in 1995 when
he finished in 4th place with 45 points. Herbert has been a part of 6 teams during his career namely Lotus, Benetton, Tyrell, Sauber, Stewart and Jaguar.
He was never able to score a title winning performance but managed to prove that he is aware of the situation and requirements of the sport and is very good when it comes to monitoring and management. Herbert promised to fulfil his duties in every way that
he can and ensure that he does not let the FIA down in any way at the Brazilian Grand Prix.
