Johnny Kwango dominant in the Owlerton Bookmakers British Bred
The Owlerton Bookmakers British Bred has pulled together six highly accomplished hounds. However, the much preferred entry tonight is the two-year-old blue dog, Johnny Kwango. The race will be held over 500 metres flat at Sheffield on Tuesday, 7th
August. Competing for the £200 prize money are Trickys Biscuit, Pond Shefelia, Big Alf, Delwood Roko and Trickys On Fire.
The A. Clarke trained started racing just this season and has raced at three different venues. The two-year-old broke into the racing career by getting drilled twice at Kinsley over 268 metres. On 11th May, 2012 it took him 16.05 seconds and then
on 9th June, he raced through in 16.16 seconds.
Droopys Scolari’s son lost just one race out of the five outings that he undertook. Lining up the remaining four of the races as successes means that he struck a hat-trick through the very first three races of the career.
The blue dog won the career debut on 23rd June, 2012 at Kinsley over 462 metres. He raced quickly away, took the middle and then led for the rest of the distance timing the track distance in 27.83 seconds. He defeated the runner-up, Tippy Court,
by 4 ¼ lengths.
The third victory in row was in a 480 metres race at Swindon on 7th July, 2012. He raced towards the rails and did not have to wait for long to lead. The two-year-old blue dog clocked the track distance in 28.52 seconds. Winning by the margin
of 5 ½ lengths had Westmead Armour qualifying as the runner-up.
After not compromising on victory in straight four races, he gave up the composure and stumbled to a third position in the fifth outing of the career. He ended third in the British Bred Two Year Old Produce Stakes – Semi Final 3 on 18th July,
2012 at Swindon over 480 metres.
The race was won by, Peacemaker in 28.62 seconds.
The two-year-old out of, Zina Marina, has not raced at Sheffield before and is up for the debut at the distance too, he has not raced over 500 metres flat before. He is supported by 2 to 1 chances today.
