Manchester City forward, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323 this week, in order for him to discuss his future at the club and ponder over the possibility of a move out of the Etihad.
Johnson arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2010 from Middlesbrough and almost immediately went on to impress with his performances for the team.
However, despite him showing that he has what it takes to become a first team player, he just couldn’t seem to secure a starting role at the club.
Even though Johnson has been giving it his all, Mancini doesn’t seem to be impressed with the player and his ability on the pitch. The manager even went on to ask Johnson to improve his overall game, following him winning a man of the match award.
This leads us to believe that even if Johnson goes on to put in the best performances of his life, he just won’t be able to impress Mancini. This in turn means that he will never be able to secure a first team spot at the club.
The player has been linked with a move to Sunderland and Liverpool in the past, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 also showing signs of interest in the player. However, the only problem that stands in the way is the fifteen million pound price tag that City have placed on the
player. The team no longer want to keep Johnson around, but they still want to profit exponentially off, of his sale.
At this point in time, it is believed that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 are the only team willing to begin negotiations over the capture of the player. The Reds are more than willing to pay the seventy thousand pounds a week salary the player is on and could end up meeting
City’s demands over a transfer fee.
Nonetheless, all these transfers and potential moves are going to have to wait till after the show down between Johnson and Mancini. Should the two work out their differences, we could see a whole lot of Johnson this coming season. If that does not happen,
then we can expect to see a host of bids coming in to City for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 international.
