Johny Hendricks eyes title shot after UFC on Fox 3 – UFC News
Johny Hendricks, UFC welterweight contender, believes his fight at UFC on Fox 3 will not just be another fight, but it will be a fun watch for everyone. In his recent interview, the ‘wrestler’ who has made his last three fights count as ‘Knockout of the
Night’, promised fans that his upcoming fight will be amusing and entertaining.
Johny Hendricks currently stands with 12 wins and 1 loss in MMA and 7 wins and 1 loss in UFC. He is a four-time All-American competitor at the Oklahoma State University. He will be facing Josh Koscheck on the main card on Fox 3 and he believes he will get
a title shot if he proves his mettle. Josh, who currently stands with 17 wins, 5 losses in MMA and 15 wins and 5 losses in UFC, is an easy prey for Johny.
In his recent interview, Johny said, “You're not going to see just another boring wrestling match. I think it's going to be a fun one for everybody to watch, so I can't wait. I would say probably I think this fight's actually pretty even because we're both
complete fighters. We both like to hit people in the face, but I believe that it's going to be a little bit of everywhere because the later you go in the rounds the easier it is to get takedowns and stuff like that.”
While talking about his opponent, Hendricks said, “He's a tough opponent. You don't stay No. 2 or No. 3 in the world for as many years as he's been without being a tough fighter, and that's why I got into the division – to see if I have what it takes to
compete with these guys.”
When asked about his title shot, Hendricks said he is hoping for it to come soon and definitely it is on its way. For now, Hendricks is quite confident that he will make it to the division’s top easily. Promising an entertaining fight to fans is not something
every fighter does until he or she is extremely sure-footed, which Hendricks is right now before his big match at UFC on Fox 3.
