  1. DEFINITELY U NEED TO IMPROVE NOTHING CAN BE ACHIEVED VERY EARLY TRY,TRY,TRY,TRY AND NOT STOP UNTILL UR GOAL IS REACHED

  2. It's good that you are thinking about it now. Run 6 days a week, 25-30 miles a week. Run some road races this summer, and just enjoy them.

Also, one day a week, do a workout of cruise intervals. I am a big believer in this workout. Run a mile warm-up, do 3-4 one-mile intervals on a track at your cruise interval pace, and run a one mile cool-down. Here's a chart for determining cruise pace...http://www.k-b-c.com/daniels.htm

  3. When you first start out you are going to just want to get some miles under your belt. Don't worry about your time in the beginning. Just go out for a steady pace long run of anywhere from 5 - 10 miles. The miles will build up your stamina and give you a basis with which to build off of. Once you have some miles under your belt you can shift focus and start working on your times. You are going to want to vary your workout throught the week. Have a mix of a long run (6 - 10 miles) medium runs (3 - 5 miles) sprint workout on the track. And some non-running, cross train workout (bike ride, swimming etc).

The more that you prepare now the better off you will be when your start the actual season.
