Join the swim team but I'm huge?

I weigh 165 and my thighs are huge!

I've been exercising and losing weight but those thighs are still icky looking.

I'm 5'5 and I'm afraid to go out in a bathing suit. I mean duh who wouldn't be if everybody she went to school was going to be there,

hahaha.

I don't know.

I'm so lost.

  1. Well have you tried out, do you know how to swim or what? I'm not quite sure if you mean you want to start learning how to swim with an eventual goal of joining the team, or if you want to go all out and join the team now. Because if you are a regualar swimmer "good enough" to join the team, wouldn't you be used to being in a suit? If you already swim then you shouldn't worry about appearing in front of people, only your times. If you want to pick up swimming as a sport, eventually being good enough to compete, then sure keep losing weight and you'll just get better and better! Nothing can stop you.

  2. Seriously - go to a nudist beach.  If you feel confident in your own skin there and you will not be judged then nothing or nobody can put you down at school.

  3. i am the same height and weight as u

but i have been swimming for almost six years so i am muscle-y

but my thighs are still big

but just train hard so u will be better than them :)

but most people really don't care if u act like u don't care ;)

    u will be fine

    good luck

  4. Good for you! Your trying to lose the weight, and that's great!! If your still upset about your thighs, you can try getting a suit like this: http://www.swimmingmatters.ca/components...

It covers ALOT and many swimmers have them. They are actually supposed to make you go faster! Keep working hard, and working out, and I'm sure u will be just fine. Good luck :)
